INIVTE TO COLLABORATE

Hello Reader, PULP is now open for collaborations. This mean you can now narrate stories through the magazine. You can create a content idea, develop it and the PULP crew will work you to narrate and publish the story.

You may also choose to collaborate by listing your name as an author or an illustrator (sketches, graphics, animation, photography, videography and any other art form of visual communication) with PULP, and the crew will reach out to you with a content idea and story line.

The PULP crew looks forward to your stories and collaborating with you to narrate stories of the everyday, everywhere and everyone. PULP with us!

WHAT DOES COLLABORATE MEAN?

You can now bring out the storyteller in you, and have your stories published in the magazine.

WHAT DO I NEED TO DO?

Firstly, read a few of the stories to understand the varied narration styles as well as the essence of PULP. (We have published so many stories little reading will be great!)

Do also have a look at the SERIES PAGE as any story you may want to narrate needs to be under one of the series head.

CAN I SUGGEST A NEW SERIES?

Oops! No, the formations of a new series rests only with the PULP crew. (Also, because it is tedious to make new icons!)

THEN, HOW CAN I COLLABORATE?

Choose a series and submit a story idea that you want to narrate. This can be a text of about 150-300 words. The text should include the story intent or general thoughts about the subject you may want to narrate.

WHAT IF MY IDEA IS NOT SELECTED?

PULP believes that all ideas are stories, so it is highly unlikely that an idea may be rejected.  It will only be developed upon.

However, if the idea is already published as a full story or as a poster you may need to think of another one. (There are so many stories, coming up with an idea is not difficult – just look around.)

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN THE IDEA IS SELECTED?

Great! The PULP crew will then work very closely with you (with reasonable timelines of course) to develop the narrative and the mannerism in which the story can be narrated.

You may choose to develop the story as an author or as a graphic illustrator. (We strongly recommend not to take up both the parts. Ask us why.)

Oh, and if you thought PULP crew will just be discussing and not doing any work, we shall prepare the inshorts and the poster for the story and publish it on the website, in the meantime. (We will work equally with you. Check out the STORIES PAGE!)

WHAT IF I AM NOT GREAT WITH CONTENT IDEAS? CAN I STILL CONTRIBUTE?

Yes, of course.

Just list your name with us either as an author or a graphic illustrator (or both). Based on new ideas, we will contact you for collaborating for the upcoming stories.

SO HOW DOES THE STORY GET PUBLISHED?

So here are the simple steps for a great story:

  1. Share your idea with PULP.

  2. Once accepted PULP will develop the poster and inshorts (and of course keep you posted so that you can share with others)

  3. Then either you or a chosen collaborator, or the PULP Crew may develop the text for the story.

  4. Once it is done, either you or a chosen collaborator or the PULP crew will develop the illustrations for the story. (Sometimes it may so happen, that the graphics is itself the main content of the story – it all depends on the narration style).

  5. Once the story is ready, you can sit back and relax after all you've worked hard! PULP will then do all the rest of the work to publish the story as well as prepare teasers.

  6. All you need to do is share the story with your nearest story reader. And there you are - a story teller!

WHAT ABOUT OWNERHSIP OF THE STORY?

The intellectual property right for whatever contribution you have made towards the story shall remain with you.  The copyright of the entire story shall remain with PULP. (And before we forget, you will duly be credited on the website for your contribution towards the story.)

SO HOW DO I BEGIN THE COLLABORATION PROCESS?
